My great-grandparents were A.L. Hethcock and Della RICHARDS. Della's parents were Charles Denmon RICHARDS and Martha Jane Bass. Charles' parents were King Henry RICHARDS and Mary Anna Burns. NOW is when it switches to YOUR RICHARDS line. I have two set of RICHARDS in the same line! Mary Anna BURNS' parents were Joseph P. BURNS and Mary RICHARDS. She was born approximately 1814 in Alabama. They also had two sons, William Penn BURNS and Charles BURNS. Mary died in 1843 when Mary Anna,William, and Charles were very young children. In the 1850 census, the three children are living with their maternal grandmother also named Mary Richards listed on the census as being born in Georgia in approximately 1799. THIS is where I'm stuck. Multiple people have her parents as Charles Harrison Richards and Mary Elizabeth "Polly" Sapp. HOWEVER, I have never found proof of it. Some people don't list that they ever had a daughter named Mary; others say those are her parents. Can you help me? I don't like to put anyone on my family tree without proof because I don't want to research the wrong lines. I know this is long, but thought that details might be helpful. Thank you imensely. He died in Marysville, Cooke County, TX and is buried there in the Marysville cemetery, along with his wife, Elizabeth HAIRGROVE Sapp. His death date is March 12, 1884. I do not believe Thomas is a sibling, nor Serena or Alexander.Debbienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2321483528294309796.post-28677360396506164832009-05-25T11:06:22.901-04:002009-05-25T11:06:22.901-04:00Hello, Mary! And you are right, family legends, as I call them, are sometimes just that. Now I can barely wait to read "the rest of the story."Janice Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11418381065941525964noreply@blogger.com
