Old Memories

Tears slide down her pale wrinkled cheeks
Tears that seem hot like tender embers.
The memories overwhelm her as her trembling fingers
Touch the crimson, indigo, lemon and emerald of the fabrics.
Folding and refolding the scraps of her life.
Breaking, cracking, shattering the veil of time that began an eon ago.

Beautiful expression of what had to have been a very painful day. You are a true poet dear sister.

Thanks so much, sis! I was pretty "low" that day.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment here. Seems like all or most of my comments are put on Facebook nowadays instead of on my posts. I like the FB comments, but would LOVE to have them left here.
