I really like the last line of this. I don't know if you wrote it intentionally, but it reads to me like there is a comma after up. Cow jumps up, moon emerges :)
I was sewing a baby blanket and watching the serger blade, having all kinds of trouble with the thread knotting and frankly thinking I would never finish. Eventually, the thing was done. Yes, Sue, I think it needs a comma after up ~ then Mr. Newbery might not be so puzzled?
